Arosha Jayasundera, the Founder of the Asian Institute of Excellence was a banker by profession. She was trained by Standard Chartered Bank to be a Lean Six Sigma Specialist. She is a graduate of the London School of Economics and has an MBA (Marketing) from Cass Business School, London. Arosha is a regular contributor to top business journals including the FT, Ceylon Today, Daily News, Daily Mirror, LBO, and various others.
Arosha is a Black Belt Lean Six Sigma Specialist. She has been trained by the National Productivity Secretariat and the Asian Productivity Organisation to be a Judge. She is also an Advisor to the Tourist Board on digital strategy which is a project headed by the Honorable Prime Minister. In addition she is an advisor to the Institute of Builders and the South Asian Lean Construction Institute on Lean Construction. She has given speeches at a number of local and international forums as well on the need for Productivity and Efficiency.
The Asian Institute of Excellence was set up in 2014 as the need for efficiency , quality and productivity in Sri Lanka and the SAARC region became increasingly critical right throughout their value chain. AIE considers the European Framework for Quality Managment (EFQM) and the Baldbridge Business Model appropriate for South Asia as well.
